In the City

While living in a condo in Pike Place Market, I began to familiarize myself with the stores and stalls the area offers. The fleeting interaction with tourists intrigued me, highlighting how individuals' life paths can converge at a point and form a web of connections that also intersect at other points. Though it may seem far-fetched, I sometimes wondered if the family I overheard speaking Mandarin had traveled from China and might even know my friends or family there. I aimed to capture people's actions before we parted ways, knowing that we might never see each other again—or perhaps we would cross paths in the future, walking on opposite sides of the street. How often do we encounter the same people without even realizing it? I guess we will never know.
