In the City

While living near Pike Place Market, I began to familiarize myself with the area's stores and stalls. The fleeting interaction with tourists intrigued me, highlighting how individuals' life paths can converge at a point and form a web of complex connections. Though it may seem far-fetched, I sometimes wondered if the family I overheard speaking Mandarin had traveled from China and might know my friends or family there. While I may never know if a coincidence occurred, this mystery fuels my hope that fate might allow our paths to cross again. I aimed to capture people's actions before parting ways, knowing that we might never see each other again–or perhaps we will be walking on opposite sides of the street. How often do we pass by the same people without even realizing it? I guess we will never know.
