Architecture

Buildings are designed to provide shelter and resist weather and the effects of time. Yet, I find their rigid nature holds a surprising intimacy. I see buildings and windows as portals into people's inner worlds. Most bystanders typically only scrutinize the facade of structures, mirroring how people present themselves superficially to the world and perceive others in the same way.

In this series, I aimed to photograph different types of architecture from various distances to convey that the more humans distance themselves from others, the less they can see into each other's lives. My images invite viewers to look into or out of buildings, offering perspectives that symbolize the varying levels of closeness relationships can offer, depending on one's willingness to commit.
