Architecture
Buildings are designed to provide shelter and resist weather and the effects of time. Yet, I find their rigid nature holds a surprising intimacy. I see homes, commercial buildings, and especially windows as portals into people's inner worlds. Most bystanders typically only scrutinize the facade of structures, seeing only the superficial, paralleling how people tend to present themselves to most of the world.
In this series, I aimed to photograph different types of architecture from various distances to convey that the more humans distance themselves from others, the less they can see into each other's lives. My images invite the viewer to look into or out of buildings, offering different points of view.
